I am a statistician specializing in household surveys, survey sampling and small area estimation. Since 2017, I have served as Regional Adviser on Social Statistics at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UN ECLAC), where I provide technical assistance to national statistical offices across the region.

My work focuses on developing and applying rigorous statistical methods to improve the design, analysis, and use of household surveys, strengthen official statistics, and support evidence-based public policy, with particular emphasis on social indicators. I am an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute and a former Vice-President of the International Association of Survey Statisticians.
